ADMINISTRATIVE LEAD – MATERNITY LEAVE COVERAGE

THE ROLE:

Reporting to: Managing Partner / BC Veterinarian
On behalf of our client, Poultry Health Services Ltd., we are seeking an Administrative Lead who is committed to providing excellent customer service to both internal and external partners and clients. The ideal candidate for this role is experienced in inventory management for agriculture or veterinary based industries, possesses proven skills in building strong relationships with suppliers and in working directly with farmers to provide exceptional customer service. Additionally, the ideal candidate would also be open to technical on farm or laboratory experience as it relates to taking samples as directed by the veterinarian. With this flexibility, there could then be an opportunity for this role to become a permanent field staff role.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Active participation in scheduling field visits for the week.
- Be the first point of contact for clients and customers who are visiting the clinic.
- Maintenance, preparation, and disinfection of diagnostic equipment, field kits, and vehicles.
- Inventory management and preparation for product pickup.
- Creating purchase orders and invoicing for products.
- Helping to support accurate medical records and confidentiality.
- Shipping and receiving diagnostic samples and prescription/over the counter products.
- Keeping office area clean and fully stocked with supplies.
- General administrative duties as required.
- Ad hoc projects and other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
In addition to the above details, other qualifications include:
- Intermediate proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of products.
- Experience using accounting software (e.g. Sage).
- Have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Class 5 driver’s license.
- Must be legally able to work in Canada.
- Successfully complete a criminal back check process.
